Kyle Bostick, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Kyle Bostick, our Chief of Staff, was born in Big Spring, Texas, but grew up in the Leander/Austin area back before they were connected by urban sprawl. His interest in animals and their care goes back to his childhood when he spent lots of time on his grandparents' farms in Roscoe and Marshall. By third grade, when asked, he always said he wanted to be a veterinarian when he grew up.

His quest to accomplish that dream really began in high school when Dr. Bostick began raising show cattle on his family's 30 acres in Leander, became very active in FFA and took a job working for his family's veterinarian in Austin. Soon he was spending every free moment working at the vet clinic, before school, after school, weekends, and on breaks from school. And when he wasn't there, you'd find him at a stock show, an FFA competition or meeting.

During college he continued to work as a veterinary technician whenever time allowed back home and in College Station. After three years of undergraduate study and four years of veterinary study, Dr. Bostick finally realized his childhood dream in May 2005 when he graduated from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine.

Later that same year he married his amazing wife, Shaina, and moved to Crockett, Texas to begin life as a rural mixed animal vet. Dr. Bostick worked at Crockett Veterinary Hospital seeing anything and everything animal wise while his wife Shaina worked at Head Start during the day and moonlighted as his veterinary technician at night and on the weekends. They loved their time in Crockett, and could write a book covering all the fun, exciting and occasionally wild experiences working on dogs, cats, horses, sheep, goats, cattle, PBR bulls, ferrets, alpacas, and guinea pigs. However, their hearts were never far from College Station where they met and wanted to raise their family.

According to Dr. Bostick, "after a year and a half in Crockett, God presented the opportunity to return when I came across an ad in the TVMA magazine advertising the sale of a small animal clinic. We moved back and purchased Shenandoah Vet Clinic on September 7, 2006. The practice has changed and grown significantly since then and is pretty much our life. I see the patients and Shaina is the hospital manager all while being a wonderful mother to our daughters Kylee and Kynslee."

Kylee and Kynslee are at the hospital on most days so don't be surprised if they greet you at the door or front desk. To round out the rest of the family, they have four dogs: June, Hallie, Poppy and Bubbles. They also have six cats named Jasmine, Mitten, Mickey, Sweet, Fame and Elvis. They are members of Wellborn Baptist Church and enjoy being active Sunday school leaders and participating in VBS. Dr. Bostick is also a member of the College Station Rotary Club and takes pride in the great service it provides not only in his community, but around the world. He also serves on the TVMA Board of Directors representing the Brazos Valley.

"God has blessed us with this opportunity and are therefore thankful for each and every one of our clients whose business we depend on. If you ever need anything or have a concern, please let us know," says Dr. Bostick.
